DRILL

The drill bits used have thin walls and high cutting capacity; they also have a countersink to polish the hole before the tempering process. These drill bits are known as “monoblock”. The distance between the countersink and the drill depends on the thickness of the glass to be drilled.

REARVIEW MIRRORS

For the rearview mirrors, the machines used are prismatic straight bevelers, mainly with 9 diamond engines and others of cerium oxide mixed with felt for a perfect finish. They have a very wide bezel; these tools are for an exigent sector, so the mirror quality must be perfect to avoid any distortion of the view for the human eye. After the beveling process, the mirror is edged by hand or in CNC machines with grinding wheels in a V shape.

Exterior mirror, flat or curved, are usually edged by hand or in CNC machines to eliminate any broken parts from the cutting process.

CAR GLASS AND WINDSCREENS

It is an edging process that requires the least elimination of glass possible in order to work at high speed.

The grinding wheels used have U or V shaped edges, mainly on CNC machines, with high diamond thickness in order to be able to grind as many times as possible and be as efficient as possible.

The peripheral speed of the wheels is very high to guarantee a great result at a great speed.
