General mechanization of ceramics, porcelains, laminates and compacts of great hardness and tenacity



The drill bits used have a continuous crown and very thin walls, which reduces the contact surface and improves the finish of the hole. They are drill bits welded with laser to avoid cracks and improve the effectiveness of the operation.

We use metallic sintered discs with a continuous crown and low thickness to avoid the breaking of the lower face at the end of the cutting process.

Sometimes, to improve the speed, we recommend semi-continuous discs.

Chamfers can be mounted at the sides to do cutting and chamfering, mainly in ceramic tiles.

The milling process is a shape cutting operation for casting processes. It can be made by hand or in CNC machines.

Segmented sinters with metallic bond are used and their composition must be smooth so that hard materials can be cut with abrasion.

They are mainly used for kitchen counter casting, for sinks and for vitroceramic stovetops/hobs.

We use shaping routers to polish the edges of the different materials in CNC machines, or cup wheels for flat edge polishing machines.

In CNC polishing machines, we use tool kits with shape for a thickness greater than 12mm. For smaller thicknesses, the polishing operations are calibration and beveling.

For calibration or polishing process in flat surfaces, the 3NEO® system can be used, patented by POMDI.
